We normally contact families within two days to arrange the next steps.

Confirm your package

Safe learning with parent involvement
Scheduling and service communication are handled through a parent or guardian. Lessons take place through Tarteel House-approved platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. For younger children, we ask a parent or guardian to be nearby and available during the lesson.
INSIDE A SESSION
What happens in 40 minutes
Warm-up review
Every session opens by revisiting the previous lesson — short, low-stakes, and confidence-building.
New teaching
New letters, sounds, or ayaat are introduced step by step, with the teacher adjusting pace in real time.
Guided practice
Your child reads aloud while the teacher listens, corrects gently, and reinforces correct pronunciation.
A focus for home
The lesson closes with a clear focus for short practice before the next meeting.
BETWEEN SESSIONS
Progress that continues outside the lesson
HOME PRACTICE
A short, focused routine
We suggest ten to fifteen minutes of reading between lessons. The teacher will tell your child exactly what to focus on — no guesswork for you.
Even two or three minutes daily compounds quickly.
EVERY TWO MONTHS
A structured progress review
Every two months, we invite parents to a 15-minute progress review. If a parent is unavailable or does not want a meeting, we send a visual progress report through WhatsApp instead.

YOUR PART
What we ask of you
Very little — just consistency and a quiet ten minutes.
A device with internet
Any phone, tablet, or laptop with a stable connection. We use Zoom or Google Meet.
Ten minutes of home reading
Short, regular practice between lessons can support steady progress.
A quiet space
Somewhere your child can concentrate for the session. A little background noise is fine.
A little patience
Every child learns at their own pace. The teacher will meet your child where they are.
QUESTIONS
Common questions
We teach girls and boys aged 5 to 16. Our youngest students may be beginning to recognise Arabic letters, while older students may be working on tajweed and memorisation. We do not currently offer classes for adults.
Completely fine. Many of our students start as complete beginners. The teacher will begin with the Arabic alphabet and build from there at your child’s own pace.
We use Zoom or Google Meet — whichever your family prefers. Both are free and work on any device. Your teacher will send you the link before each session.
Parents do not directly select or reserve a specific teacher. You may browse the Teachers page and express a preference, but Tarteel House makes the match based on language, level, learning needs, and scheduling availability.
If your family is not satisfied with the teaching approach, you may request a teacher change. We will consider the request and propose another suitable teacher subject to availability; we cannot promise an immediate replacement or the same schedule.
With at least 24 hours’ notice, the lesson is rescheduled without using a make-up allowance. The 6-lesson package has no allowance for late-notice or unnotified absences; the 12-lesson and 25-lesson packages include up to four make-up lessons. Full rules are on the pricing page.
